HGV MECHANIC – IPSWICH

Job Role
If you are a skilled HGV mechanic looking for a challenging role with opportunities for growth, Previous industry experience and qualifications in HGV maintenance and repairs is required.
Responsibility’s
-Proficiency in using Diagnostic tools and equipment.
-Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high quality work.
-Routine Maintenance Servicing and Inspections.
-Servicing , Repairs, and Maintenance to Vans, Trucks and Electric cars and Vans
– Overtime available
– Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
– Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
– Repair or replace faulty components
– Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
– Keep accurate records of all work performed
– Test driver fully repaired vehicles to make sure they have no issues.
Qualifications
– Proven experience as a mechanic.
– Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
– Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
– Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
– Excellent problem solving skills.
– Attention to detail and accuracy.
– A valid HGV driver’s license will be required for this position.
As a HGV mechanic, it will be your duty to maintain and repair vehicles and equipment. A strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, as well as the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues. It is essential to use your strong problem solving skills in ensuring that all repairs are completed accurately.

HGV 1 DRIVERS – FELIXSTOWE

Port Side Solutions have an immediate and urgent requirement for PAYE Class 1 HGV drivers to help support our clients during a very busy period.

Hourly pay Starting from £14.00 – £16.00 per hour basic plus holiday pay  

We are a logistics recruitment specialist and work with a large client base across Felixstowe and surrounding areas. We are actively seeking experienced Class 1 HGV drivers for ongoing or part time work on containers or curtain side trailers.

Drivers must meet the following criteria,

  • Must hold a valid UK licence with class 1 (C+E) entitlement
  • Hold a valid driver card and driver CPC card
  • RHIDES card – preferable although not essential
  • A minimum of 2 years class 1 driving experience preferred but not essential
  • No DD or DR convictions

 

We guarantee a minimum of 10 hours a day with all hours worked paid for and overtime rate after 10 hours paid.

We can offer day work, tramping or night work (enhanced rate).

HGV 2 HIAB DRIVERS – COLCHESTER & IPSWICH

We are currently recruiting for Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Driver with HIAB to work on a Temporary basis for our customers based in and around the Colchester & Ipswich areas. Delivering building trade supplies to construction & customer sites in a Class 2 HGV while using Remote HIAB.

Job requirements

  • Class 2 (C) Entitlement
  • Valid HIAB Certificate
  • Valid Digi card
  • Valid CPC card
  • Good communication customer service skills
  • Knowledge of the road network in Essex & Suffolk
  • New pass Drivers & HIAB Operators welcome
  • Hard working mentality

The reward

  • Min 8 hours per day, overtime thereafter
  • £14.50 basic, £18.00 overtime PAYE, weekly pay, paid holidays
